This newly created role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our innovative and passionate mental health pharmacy team based at New Craigs Hospital in Inverness.

This Role Will


* Provide strategic, professional and operational leadership to the pharmacy technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers within the team
* Play a key role in the day-to-day management of the pharmacy technical team including performance management and appraisal
* Directly influence service development and lead on the evolution of the roles and responsibilities of pharmacy technical team to meet the future needs of the service
* Strategically and operationally manage the education, training, and development of the technical and support staff within the team
* Provide direct patient care to support the delivery of a safe and effective mental health pharmacy service to patients across North Highland

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, have a commitment to service development and improvement and will have meticulous attention to detail. You will need to be a strong leader and role model who sets high standards for patient-centred service delivery and professional practice.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their clinical, managerial and leadership skills in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Applicants should be qualified to S(N)VQ3 Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent, must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have experience of planning, co-ordinating and managing a pharmacy technical service. Ideally they will hold a recognised accuracy checking qualification.
