GSL Education are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a friendly school in Hathersage. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career or those who enjoy working with young people in an educational setting.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lessons during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
* Maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive behaviour.
* Offer general support to students across various subject areas.
* Report on student engagement and progress to teaching staff.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working with children or young people in any capacity is desirable.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Adaptability and confidence in delivering lessons across different subjects.
* A calm, patient, and professional approach to behaviour management.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
