Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support a team of engineers, operatives, and technicians delivering maintenance and refurbishment of traffic signals and highway systems.
2. Manage supplementary works and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery acrossPoole and Dorset region .
3. Promote and ensure safe working practices for all employees, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
4. Oversee stock control, ensuring materials are accurately booked and available for all ordered maintenance works.
5. Support training and development within the maintenance team and assist in managing engineering support functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
6. Proven experience in traffic signal engineering, with a background in installation and/or maintenance.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a team.
8. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and stakeholders.
9. Confident using IT systems including tablets and laptops, with a willingness to learn new software.
10. Full UK Driving Licence required – company vehicle and tools provided.
11. Comfortable working outdoors and at heights, with a strong understanding of health and safety practices.
