To undertake safe electrical works (repairs, installations, servicing, and inspection & testing) competently and effectively across housing stock to ensure that properties are maintained to a high standard and in a timely manner, whilst achieving and maintaining exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertake safe electrical works on time within given priorities to the highest standard possible, striving for repairs to be a first-time fix whilst remaining compliant.
2. Effectively identify and repair faults, rewire domestic electrical systems, ensuring good quality.
3. Liaise with customers and staff to communicate progress and actions; refer complex issues to senior staff for remedial action.
4. Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures, including BS7671, appropriate use of equipment, and PPE.
5. Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and test systems for compliance.
6. Provide electrical expertise for planned works, including bathroom, kitchen, and full property rewires, in occupied or non-occupied properties.
7. Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-outs as per departmental rota.
8. Maintain company vehicle in good condition, conduct safety checks, and report defects.
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds 2391, 2360 Parts 1 and 2, 2351, 2330 levels 2 and 3, NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation Work, or equivalent.
* Practical training and experience as an electrician, preferably as a registered apprentice.
* Practical knowledge of BS7671, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
* Desirable: City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 in verification, certification, inspection, and testing.
* Full driving license with ability to travel efficiently to customer sites.
* Role is subject to a basic DBS check.
