Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join our team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality written content to support tender submissions, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and framework applications. You’ll work closely with the estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure our bids are compelling, compliant, and competitive. Key Responsibilities * Prepare, write, and edit bid submissions for public and private sector clients. * Manage the end-to-end bid process in collaboration with the pre-construction team. * Research clients, projects, and sectors to tailor bids effectively. * Develop and maintain a library of standard responses, case studies, and supporting documents. * Ensure submissions comply with all client requirements and deadlines. * Support the wider business with written content for award submissions, capability statements, and marketing materials. * Conduct post-bid reviews and incorporate feedback to improve future submissions. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within construction or a related industry. * Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. * Strong understanding of tendering procedures and procurement frameworks. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. * A proactive and collaborative approach. Desirable Qualifications * Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience). * APMP or other bid/proposal writing accreditation is a plus. * Familiarity with construction-related terminology, JCT/NEC contracts, and Health & Safety standards.
