Project Manager – Highway Maintenance
Salary: £50-£60k + Pkg

A Civil Engineering highway maintenance contractor is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to manage a variety of Civil Engineering Highway Schemes within the Southern region predominately in Berkshire. Working as part of the SE regional team, reporting to the Regional Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agent, Engineers, Foreman and Sub Contractors.
The ideal person
* Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
* Previous experience of Highways/Roads and Design Reactive and planned Maintenance
* Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team
Responsibilities
* To profitably complete projects in accordance with the client’s specifications and to ensure client satisfaction
* Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
* Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
* Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
* Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
* Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learned etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
* To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance BBRCE’s reputation and look to further business
* To assist in recognizing new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager
