The role
As a Safety Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in support of the operational capability of the nation’s nuclear submarine fleet and the continuous nuclear deterrent by joining our Submarine Support Engineering group.
Day-to-day, you’ll support the delivery of technical outputs including:
* Providing safety and environmental advice to industry
* Production of safety and environmental technical outputs.
* Project management and technical assurance of safety and environment projects
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Safety Engineer
* Understanding of Safety Engineering and/or Submarine Systems/Engineering
* Defence background (desirable)
Qualifications for the Safety Engineer
* CEng or IEng accredited or working towards
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
