Overview Job Summary
– We are offering an opportunity for a GP to join our friendly team at Berrycroft Community Health Centre, a purpose‑built practice with up to 6 sessions a week. As a training practice we welcome new talent to be part of our vision for patient and staff wellbeing through innovative cluster working in a bespoke setting. Responsibilities
Provide primary care through patient consultations, physical examinations, and diagnosis and management of various medical conditions.
Manage chronic disease and coordinate with specialists as required.
Conduct surgery, telephone and home‑visit consultations, review repeat prescriptions and handle queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.
Supervise allied health professionals such as Physician Associate, Paramedic, Pharmacist and Nurses.
Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems, assess undifferentiated and undiagnosed issues, screen for disease risk factors, and develop care plans in line with current protocols.
Provide counselling, health education, admission/discharge and referrals to other providers as appropriate.
Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards and collect data for audit purposes.
Prescribe drugs in accordance with the practice formulary wherever clinically appropriate.
Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP in primary care.
Qualifications
Medical degree and membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners or equivalent training, with MRCGP certificate.
Registered GP with the GMC, included on the GP Register and GP Performers List.
Right to work in the UK and satisfactory immune status (Hepatitis B and other relevant viruses).
Membership of a Medical Defence Organisation (MPS, MDU or MDDUS).
