1. Position: Stock Controller
2. Salary: £25,000 – £28,000
3. Location: Broadbridge Heath
4. Hours: Monday – Friday
5. Benefits: On-site parking

A well-established distributor of is seeking a Stock Controller to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of products to various industries. As a Stock Controller the primary responsibilities include assisting with goods receiving, managing bonded stores, and maintaining stock accuracy. Additional duties such as picking, packing, and despatching goods will be carried out based on workload priorities, team availability, and training status.

Stock Controller responsibilities:

6. Receive deliveries from couriers, log goods into the inventory system, and place items on inspection shelves.
7. Generate batch labels and records using the inventory system, ensuring accurate product identification.
8. Operate a forklift truck to relocate palletised stock and optimise warehouse space.
9. Take ownership of stock maintenance, including space optimisation and box resizing.
10. Conduct regular stock checks and ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
11. Reorganise stock locations to improve accessibility and efficiency.
12. Use barcode scanning systems to locate and manage stock within the storage area.
13. Lead investigations into missing stock, track historical movements, and conduct thorough searches.
14. Support core operational functions, including forklift use and cable respooling.
15. Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Operations Manager, including off-site stock collection using the company van.
16. Follow 5S workplace organisation practices.
17. Comply with all health and safety procedures during daily operations.

Skills & experience required:

18. Valid driving license and forklift truck certification.
19. Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
20. Experience using inventory management systems (e.g., MRP systems).
21. Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
22. Clear and professional communication abilities.
23. Proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
24. Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
25. Organised and methodical work habits.
