Our consultancy client is seeking Senior Project Managers to work in hybrid/remote arrangements in secondments to Water/Utilities/Environment end clients on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Project Manager in the water sector, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and successfully delivering a range of projects from inception to completion, supporting predominantly a range of end clients.
Our client has offices in Reigate but due to the secondment model they use, candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.
Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of water projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and scope
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
Identify and mitigate project risks
Ensure effective communication and coordination with project teams
Oversee the allocation of resources to optimize project outcomes
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Skills/experience/qualifications
Significant experience in project management, specifically within the water sector - ideally 5 to 10 years in project management roles
NEC3/4 experience
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Project management certifications an advantage (APM PMQ etc)
Degree qualified in an engineering/technical discipline an advantage
