YMCA St Paul’s Group is a charity that supports and empowers young people and communities throughout London by providing youth work, community services, health and wellbeing centres, and supported accommodation for those at risk of homelessness. The organisation aims to create thriving places for young people and flourishing communities with a focus on long-term transformation in mind, body, and spirit.
About the Role
As a Night Complex Support Worker at YMCA St Paul’s Group, you will be part of our Housing and Support team, delivering housing and support services to residents during night shifts. You will be the initial touchpoint for residents and visitors, handling queries and offering tailored advice, while upholding high standards of customer service. Your duties will be varied and may include reception duties, first aid, fire marshal responsibilities, and health and safety tasks, representing the welcoming face of YMCA St Paul’s Group to new residents and Health & Wellbeing members.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Interact with residents and their support networks to set the tone for a high-quality experience.
* Versatility: Perform a variety of tasks beyond standard reception duties, such as managing telephone services, handling mail, overseeing repairs, processing payments, and helping uphold building safety and security.
* Safety and Security: Act as designated first aider and fire marshal, protect residents’ wellbeing, and conduct regular patrols and safety checks.
* Welcoming and Listening: Welcome new residents, address complaints, manage reports of anti-social behaviour, and listen with compassion to residents and the public, reporting concerns as appropriate.
* Join a Supportive Team: Be part of a welcoming and experienced group of housing advisors, contributing to the lives of residents and visitors through high-quality service. The role is dynamic and can be engaging and challenging, with duties that support a safe, supportive environment.
