About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The Role
As part of the Vaccination Transformation Programme in Scotland, we have established five teams across NHSGGC to deliver childhood immunisations. Health Care Support Workers ensure the smooth running of community clinics, maintain cold‑chain procedures, order all stocks and sundries, and communicate regularly with parents and carers. They support immunisation clinics, engage with families, and help promote positive health outcomes from an early age. Working within one of the UK’s largest NHS organisations, you will be part of a dedicated and supportive team delivering accessible, safe and person‑centred care.
