Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to join our leadership team in West Kent on a 1-year secondment as one of three General Managers in the West Kent Directorate.
This role is key to our success through the improvement journey and requires someone skilled in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners.
The successful candidate will work closely with professional heads, the Deputy Service Director, and Service Managers to ensure the quality of clinical services, patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes meet high standards. General Managers will oversee a portfolio of services, understanding ongoing transformation work and supporting teams to meet Key Performance Indicators.
Reporting to the Service Director and working with the Senior Management Team, they will ensure services are fit for purpose and teams are motivated and efficient, with a focus on clinical outcomes and engagement.
Main duties of the job
General Managers manage a range of services within the Directorate, collaborating with other teams to achieve excellent clinical, operational, and financial results. They are part of the Senior Leadership Team alongside other managers, directors, and lead professionals.
They may be responsible for additional specialist or place-based services as needed and will support Local Care Partnerships in the integration agenda.
