The Specialist Palliative Care Directorate in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an experienced, compassionate Specialty Doctor to work in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital.
The Palliative Care Directorate is based within the Primary Care and Community Division of ABUHB, providing care across Gwent.
We are looking for a specialty doctor in Palliative Medicine who, under supervision, will provide effective and appropriate medical care for palliative care patients within Aneurin Bevan Hospitals and the inpatient unit.
We aim to provide coverage between 8:00 and 18:30, with on-site hours from 9 am to 5 pm and potential off-site on-call cover between 8-9 am and 5-6:30 pm. The proposed job plan is attached in the JD, though we are flexible.
Main duties of the job
As a senior employee, the post holder will collaborate with clinical, medical, and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality healthcare.

* Provide effective leadership to all staff in the specialty
* Sustain and develop teaching and research where appropriate
* Work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and policies
