Key Responsibilities
* Support senior surveyors in conducting a range of land and rail surveys, ensuring adherence to industry and safety standards.
* Assist in collecting accurate survey data using advanced equipment and techniques and contributing to its organization and preliminary analysis.
* Learn and apply basic control grid principles and post‑processing techniques, developing proficiency in software such as N4ce or equivalent.
* Provide support in office settings and occasionally on‑site for various survey methods, including structure gauging, large‑scale topographic surveys, setting out, precision levelling, and laser scanning surveys.
* Gain familiarity with Network Rail standards and other relevant industry regulations to ensure compliance in all survey activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Basic understanding and willingness to develop skills in geospatial technology relevant to surveying.
* Some knowledge or interest in learning Network Rail standards and related industry regulations.
* Awareness of control grids and a basic understanding of post‑processing techniques.
* Basic proficiency or the ability to learn N4ce or similar survey processing software.
* Foundational understanding of various survey methods, both in‑office and on‑site.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
