Position Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Nuneaton
Hourly Rate: £14.04 per hour
Hours Per Week: 16 hours a week made up of two 8-hour shifts at the weekend 9:30am-5:30pm.
Vacancy Type: Permanent
ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a young woman living at home in Nuneaton with my lovely parents. I have a small, supportive team of personal assistants who help me with my personal care and everyday living. An amazing opportunity has become available to join my small team and make a difference in my life.
I am looking for someone who can help me enjoy life, not just support me with care needs but also share in the fun. I love going out, whether it’s for a wander around town, a trip on the tram, or simply to do a bit of people watching. I also enjoy more adventurous activities when I’m feeling up to it. I’m a big fan of Disney! But also, fast rides and motorbikes. Most of all, I enjoy good company and making the most of each day.
I like to have a plan and routine, so when you arrive on shift, we will talk through the day together. I can sometimes take a little while to settle with new people, but I usually warm up quickly once we’ve spent some time together.
Shifts typically include two eight-hour weekend shifts starting from 9:30am and finishing at 5:30pm. There may be opportunities for additional hours if you are looking for more work. Shift details can be discussed during the interview. You will be supporting me with personal care such as bathing and dressing, administering medication via a PEG (full training will be provided), continence care, hoisting (training also provided), light domestic tasks, and accompanying me out into the community.
ABOUT YOU
I am looking for a female personal assistant who is caring, patient, and willing to learn about my individual needs. You should be organised, trustworthy, and have excellent communication skills. It is essential that you are respectful of my home, my family and maintain confidentiality at all times.
You must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and be able to meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes. Being a non-smoker is essential. You should feel confident working under instruction and be open to ongoing training to ensure the best support possible.
If you are reliable, enthusiastic, and want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life, I would love to hear from you.
