We are recruiting a Site Administrator (6 month Fixed Term Contract) to support Project V, a major construction project involving the design and build of a 35,000m² factory for JDR Cables, which will produce subsea electric cables for offshore wind farms in Blyth. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive administrator to provide vital support to the site team, ensuring smooth coordination of documentation, procurement tracking, and daily operations. What you’ll be doing Conduct Health & Safety inductions and maintain accurate records. Manage PPE supplies and ensure all site visitors are issued with appropriate equipment; collect and return equipment to storage as needed. Maintain records of site plant and lifting equipment, including lifting certificates. Obtain, scan, and file delivery notes in an organized manner. Support document control processes at site level. Liaise with the Office Manager in our Washington office regarding Goods Received Notes (GRNs). Raise requisitions and purchase orders for construction materials as directed by site management, and maintain accurate records. Conduct twice-weekly site walks to document progress using OpenSpace. Assist the site team with data entry tasks in Excel and general administrative duties. Enter Health & Safety hazard observation (HAZOP) cards into the system; scan and file as required. Scan all weekly site records and ensure digital copies are properly saved. Maintain both physical and digital filing systems for all site documentation. Who We’re Looking For Strong and proven experience in an administrative role within a construction or engineering environment (preferred). Strong organisational and communication skills. High attention to detail and confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office. A proactive team player with strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues. CSCS card (preferred but not essential – training can be provided) Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures on construction sites (preferred). Familiarity with document control systems and processes.
