Reporting to a Product Category Manager, this role sits within La Redoute UK’s commercial team and plays a key role in supporting the product setup, content quality and on-site readiness of UK sourced ranges. The Category Assistant is responsible for ensuring products are accurately and efficiently launched on site, managing the progress of new line forms, supplier information and product content to enable timely and effective go-live. If products are not on site and correctly presented, they cannot be sold, making this role critical to the success of UK sourced ranges. The role focuses on improving product content and ensuring customers have the information they need to make confident purchase decisions, maintaining a whole customer view across the on-site journey. This includes reviewing product descriptions, imagery and key product information to ensure content is clear, accurate and commercially effective. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure product information is complete, accurate and delivered on time. While the role supports the wider category team, its primary focus is on UK sourced partner ranges. There is also some involvement in La Redoute own-brand ranges, taking a whole-category view of what the customer sees on site to support benchmarking of pricing and customer journeys, helping ensure ranges are competitively positioned, well presented and aligned with customer expectations. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be driven to do whatever it takes to support the success of product ranges. This may include working with the Web Merchandising team to improve product presentation, partnering with UX to enhance the customer journey, supporting Marketing and Trading teams with product visibility, and helping Customer Service teams better understand product information. Key Responsibilities Support the Product Category Manager in ensuring UK sourced products are accurately set up on site, with complete, high-quality content and supplier information. Manage the progress of new line forms and product setup, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate go live. Vet and maintain supplier-provided information, ensuring product data, pricing and supporting documentation are accurate, complete and suitable for publication. Review and improve product content, imagery and on-site presentation, ensuring customers have the information they need to make informed purchase decisions. Support benchmarking of pricing and customer experience, helping ensure ranges are competitively positioned within the market. Maintain a whole customer view of assigned ranges, identifying opportunities to improve product presentation, clarity and overall customer journey. Work closely with Web Merchandising, Marketing, UX and Customer Service teams to support product visibility, presentation and customer understanding. Support Product Category Managers and the wider team in monitoring product readiness, identifying issues early and helping ensure smooth product launches. Assist in maintaining accurate product setup records and commercial documentation.
