Do you believe in the transformative power of education?
At Pivot, we ensure you have the time, support, and flexibility to shape futures.
Join our mission to inspire and empower learners, and make a lasting impact on their lives.
At Pivot, we believe children deserve better. In our academies, we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 – 5 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is not working, or those with an EHCP requiring a specialist placement. Our teams do incredible work daily, making a significant difference to children with complex and challenging backgrounds.
The Pivot Outreach Programme (POP) is expanding, aiming to re-engage learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs who may have been out of education for some time. Learners participate in academic and pastoral activities delivered off-site, at their homes, and within the POP hub.
Due to its success, we are growing rapidly and seeking a teacher to instruct learners in Key Stages 3 and 4. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities to help learners progress according to their individual pathways.
Experience teaching learners with social, emotional, and mental health needs or ASC is essential. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with young people, staff, parents/carers, and the community is also required.
The role involves regular travel within Kirklees; therefore, the ability to drive and access to a car is essential.
Working at Pivot offers a rewarding opportunity to change learners’ lives. This role suits someone eager to make a difference for learners not accessing full-time education and who wishes to teach with flexibility.
