Main Responsibilities
* Report directly to and collaborate with the Board to ensure performance targets are met.
* Own and manage all aspects of Litigation work, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
* Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers, ensuring appropriate caseload types and complexities.
* Assist with delivery of training and development within the department.
* Handle a variety of Litigation cases, including ADR/mediation, banking and financial disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, breach of contract disputes, civil fraud, commercial property/company disputes, debt recovery and enforcement claims, intellectual property infringement disputes, interim applications, and your own advocacy.
* Deal with emergency cases, identify and carry out strategic litigation.
* Prepare draft documents including witness statements and process evidence.
* Maintain a professional proactive approach, strong client care skills and pursue Business Development and Marketing to supplement the work volume.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* 3 Years+ PQE with proven experience in a range of Litigation, including court representation (essential).
* Experience in own advocacy.
* Clean, valid Practising Certificate at application.
* Strong management and leadership skills.
* Team player, fair and supportive, fostering positive culture and cross referrals.
* Proven supervisory experience and KPI management.
* Excellent client care and ability to navigate sensitive client matters.
* Strong networking and communication skills, capable of marketing the firm and generating new business.
* Excellent IT skills – familiar with Microsoft Office and document management.
