About the Role
Lockheed Martin Strategic Systems is looking for a Navy Stores Inventory Controller to complement the team based at HMNB Clyde, Faslane. This role benefits from our 9/75 working pattern giving you every other Friday off. This role would suit an experience Stores / Inventory Controller with experience in Naval, Defence or similar highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
1. Demand all departmental stores either through Naval Store Office (MJDI), Logistics Section
2. Demand, stow and return all hazardous items within the building
3. Haz Mat Temperature checks for shelf life materials
4. Working alongside industry partners and manage stores demands
5. Track & Trace items required by Departments, either incoming from US or other sources, using CLASP / WITS / Logiquest / MJDI
6. Management of stores paperwork
7. Return equipment to Return Store or US using relevant paperwork
8. Monthly stocktake activities against Hazardous goods holdings
9. Maintain the Hazardous Goods database
10. Work alongside ESH and support the COSHH process
11. Liaise with facilities for the removal of waste metal skips
12. Operate all MHE required for the role, FLT's, MEWP's
13. Manage the lifting quarantine area.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
14. Proven experience as a Stores / Inventory Controller or similar role
15. Stores / Inventory experience within Naval, Defence or similar highly regulated environment
16. Able to accurately record stock movement and identify discrepancies
17. Can generate stock reports and interpret trends
18. Qualified or willing to be trained in the use of MHE (Material Handling Equipment) such as Forklift Trucks and Cherry Pickers
19. Highly computer literate, with experience of databases and solid Excel skills
20. Effective communicator comfortable liaising with Senior Stakeholders both internally and externally
