Package Manager (Electrical)

About the Role
JCA is seeking an experienced Package Manager (Electrical) to lead and manage allocated electrical contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. The successful candidate will oversee site operations, coordinate teams, and ensure full compliance with statutory legislation, industry standards, and JCA's internal policies.
This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management to ensure smooth delivery of electrical works from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead site management and supervision of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
2. Manage site resources effectively, including labour, materials, plant, and logistics.
3. Implement and monitor JCA quality control procedures, providing regular feedback and improvement suggestions.
4. Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and alignment with project objectives.
5. Identify and manage risks related to health, safety, quality, and the environment.
6. Attend and contribute to site meetings, progress reports, and maintain accurate site documentation (photos, issue logs, risk registers, and look-ahead plans).
7. Oversee material take-offs, selection, procurement, and storage to ensure smooth site operations.
8. Review designs and drawings, offering practical insights on installation methods and potential improvements.
9. Coordinate with site teams to identify challenges and implement timely solutions.
10. Maintain comprehensive site records, including diaries, equipment registers, snag lists, and HSE audit checklists.
11. Manage subcontractor documentation, performance, and health & safety compliance.
12. Conduct site inductions, daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure proper site welfare and security.
Requirements
13. NVQ Level 3 or higher in Construction or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
14. CITB SSSTS certificate (or equivalent).
15. IOSH Supervising Safely certification.
16. Relevant CSCS card.
17. First Aid at Work certification.
18. Proven experience supervising projects of similar size, value, and complexity.
19. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
20. In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements, construction methods, and industry best practices.
21. Full UK driving licence.
