What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented individual to join our team in Liverpool, which is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of security experts to deliver proactive oversight and assurance across cyber, physical, and personal security domains.
This role integrates threat intelligence, security testing, and risk reporting across domains to ensure the organisation's resilience against evolving threats. You will define and track key risk indicators, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with strategic security objectives.
As Threat Intelligence & Testing Manager, your responsibilities will include among others:
* Leadership & Team Management: Set clear objectives, manage performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with broader security strategy.
* Threat Intelligence & Situational Awareness: Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence across cyber, physical, and personal domains. Maintain awareness of emerging threats, geopolitical risks, and adversary tactics. Integrate intelligence into risk assessments and operational decision-making.
* Security Testing & Assurance: Manage the planning and execution of security testing activities, including red teaming, penetration testing, and physical security audits. Review findings and oversee remediation tracking and validation.
* Risk Metrics & Reporting: Define and maintain key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics related to security vulnerabilities and threats. Produce regular assurance reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends, gaps, and progress. Support governance, risk, and compliance activities with evidence-based insights.
* Cross-Domain Security Oversight: Ensure cohesive security coverage across cyber, physical, and personal domains. Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, and Facilities to address insider threats, executive protection, and travel security. Build positive security culture by championing integrated security strategies and holistic risk management.
* Policy, Standards & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, standards, and procedures. Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, benchmarking, and innovation. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
* Extensive experience in security assurance, threat intelligence, and testing across multiple domains.
* Proven experience in a senior security leadership role, with at least 3 years of experience in security management.
* Strong understanding of security frameworks, and threat landscapes.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance.
Desired
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Security or Intelligence related field.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CPP, PSP, GIAC, CRISC) are highly desirable.
