We are transitioning systems into a cutting-edge platform with the aim to become a Fin-Tec company and are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to this exciting journey.
Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be pivotal in supporting and modernizing our existing systems and driving the development of our new platform(s). This is a fully onsite role in our LS27 office, offering a collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain software using .Net, C#, ReactJS, SQL Server, and related technologies.
* Build and enhance APIs for seamless system integration.
* Support and optimize our existing system while actively participating in its transition to a modern platform.
* Collaborate on the migration of the current system and its transition to portals and a modern platform.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
* Ensure high-quality code by performing code reviews and adhering to best practices.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Initial Projects
* System Familiarization: Quickly get up to speed with the current system to provide immediate support and understand its architecture.
* Modernisation: Assist with the modernisation of existing systems to new platforms.
* API Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop robust APIs critical for the system transition.
* AI: Help find opportunities to implement systems that bring efficiencies using AI
* Portal Development: Contribute to the design and development of portals to enhance client and partnership experiences.
Skills And Experience Required
* Proficient in .Net, C# and ReactJS, with hands-on experience (3-5 Years) in building robust applications.
* Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including database design and query optimization.
* Experience in developing and consuming APIs.
* Beneficial to have experience with MS Access databases
* Solid understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Previous experience mentoring or coaching junior developers is desirable.
* A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for driving system improvements and innovation.
