Overview
SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Lancashire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND and other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work 1:1 with children and young people in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support is delivered to children referred by local authorities and schools, including educational and social-emotional guidance
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic, engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK (including remote/online work)
* Ability to safeguard and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times
Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Contract for service with PAYE payroll
* No fixed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance coverage provided
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
