Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our Back of House team as Cellar Porters at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. This is a fast-paced, physical role at the heart of the action. As part of our Cellar team, you'll play a key role in keeping everything moving on match days and during the many exciting events held at Lord's throughout the season. Your work behind the scenes helps our Front of House teams deliver an outstanding experience for every guest. We are looking for people who are energetic, adaptable, and ready to be on the move! Join us and be part of the team that helps deliver moments at on the most famous sporting events in the world Job Opportunity About the Role (Cellar Porter) • Assist with the delivery and distribution of stock and equipment. • Ensure efficient and safe storage of goods and equipment. • Supervise catering areas set-up and break-down. • General stock movement - beverages, frozen, and dry goods. • Ensure cellars and bars are clean and in optimal condition. • Support with event day set-up and clear down of multiple areas and facilities. • Assist in monthly stock take. • Aid with the set-up of the full cellar operation including kef movement, gas supply, and product merchandising. • Comply with the Club uniform policy and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. If you have experience or an interest in developing your skills in stock management, stock control, health & safety, and food hygiene as a Cellar Porter, Cellar Assistant, or Logistics Assistant, apply for this role today! Essential Skills Essential Skills • Due to the use of heavy machinery, applicants must be over the age of 18. • Comfortable to walk and stand during the shift and carry out frequent manual handling tasks. • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible. • Good command of English with the ability to communicate confidently. • Honest, reliable, and hardworking. • Self-starter who has a committed work ethic. • Due to the nature of event days, weekend and evening work will be required. Desired Skills • Previous experience in a similar role or environment • Basic COSHH qualification/knowledge. • Basic Food Hygiene knowledge including Food Hygiene Level 2.
