Turning Cell Leader – CNC Setter/Programmer
Location: Brislington, Bristol
Pay: £18.00 per hour
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Thu), 08:00 – 15:30 (Fri)
Breaks: 30 mins unpaid lunch + 15 mins paid tea break
Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a Turning Cell Leader to join our machine shop team. This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machines with a focus on turning and drilling operations. You’ll take a hands-on approach while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc/G code)
Prepare and load raw materials and components
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
Maintain machinery and ensure daily checks are completed
Work in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001 standards
Support team performance and production deadlines
Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer
Strong knowledge of Fanuc/G code programming
Skilled in using precision measuring equipment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mechanical documents
Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Able to work independently and meet production targets
