Job Title: Revenues Manager Job Type: 12 weeks rolling contract Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire Rate of pay: Paye £28.83ph, Umbrella £38.80ph Shropshire Council is seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Revenues Manager to oversee the delivery of our Council Tax, NNDR and BID billing services. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legal compliance, high‑quality service delivery and strong financial performance across all revenues functions. Duties of the role: Lead Revenues Operations — Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of Council Tax, NNDR and BID billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Ensure Legal & Statutory Compliance — Interpret complex legislation and oversee statutory returns including CTB1, QRC4, NNDR1 and NNDR3. Drive Performance & Improvement — Monitor KPIs, accuracy levels and service outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement across the service. Lead Debt Recovery Strategy — Promote effective debt management and oversee write‑off recommendations within agreed limits. Manage Systems & Processes — Ensure revenues systems are maintained, optimised and used effectively by all teams.
