About the role
Job Purpose: To be responsible for carrying out AM2 assessments within the centre.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Carry out assessments in line with NET requirements.
* Ensure all AM2 documentation, resources and systems are up to date and meet highest quality standards.
* Maintain NET centre approval, ensuring the centre is fully compliant and operational at all times.
* Proactively engage customers, responding to any training needs/queries/issues raised by employers, apprentices or related parties in a timely and professional manner and feeding back to the AM2 administration department.
* Maintain good working relationships with external parties assisting with industry events and committees when required.
* Maintain an awareness of developments in field of expertise ensuring professional knowledge is always up to date.
* Co-operate with internal and external inspection bodies, responding to any reasonable request for information when required.
* Actively engage in other duties under the discretion of your Line Manager.
Person Specification
* Level 3 Installing and Commissioning Electrical Systems & Equipment
* A relevant qualification relating to knowledge and understanding of the current edition of the BS 7671 IET Requirements for Electrical Installations.
* Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391 – 2394/5 or equivalent).
* JIB Gold Card with “Electrician” status
* Good Presentation Skills.
* Good IT Skills.
* Certificate in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Assessor qualifications (D32, D33 or A1).
* An un-expired Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
* Teaching experience of an Electrical Installations syllabus.
* Internal Verifier qualifications (D34 or V1).
