Are you a detail-oriented investigator with a passion for justice and public service? Join our Internal Audit Investigation Service and help protect public funds across Lancashire through expert financial investigation and legal precision.
As a Financial Investigator, you will:
* Lead complex investigations into fraud and misconduct, supporting the Council's commitment to ethical conduct and financial integrity.
* Apply for Crown Court production orders and secure search and seizure warrants to obtain critical evidence.
* Work closely with legal teams, senior investigators, and external partners to ensure legal procedures are followed with professionalism.
* Contribute to high-profile cases that impact communities and leadership across Lancashire.
* Support the development of fraud prevention frameworks and help the Council meet national standards and legislative requirements.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in financial investigation related to fraud.
* Understanding of production and seizure order requirements.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with legal professionals and stakeholders.
* Ability to manage complex caseloads independently and use technology effectively.
* A relevant counter fraud or financial investigation qualification-or willingness to work towards one.
