We are looking for a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team at Ridgeway furniture, The ideal candidate will have a previous experience working as a Bench Joiner. Additional, in-house training will be given to competent time served candidates to support continued development and success in the role.
Duties to include but not limited to
* Assembly of joinery and cabinetry related items
* Ensuring items are finished, sanded, prepared and collated for the next department in line. For example, the spray shop or goods out all via the joinery manager
* Working flexibly across departments, including occasional support in the machine shop or other areas and duties as needed. This is not always required but does give variation and new experience into the role
Key Skills and Requirements
* Ability to read and understand drawings and production information
* Ideally proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools
* Excellent craftsmanship and commitment to quality
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
* Highly responsible & reliable
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ideally 10+ years' experience in the joinery industry
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery items, for Locker rooms.
* Work from drawings to ensure accurate production
* Use a wide range of materials and techniques in the joinery process
* Operate woodworking machinery and hand-held power tools confidently and safely
* Maintain a strong attention to detail and high standard of finish
* Collaborate with a small, skilled team to meet project deadlines
