About the Role
As a social housing painter, you'll be responsible for a wide range of painting and decorating tasks within occupied and void social housing properties. This role requires versatility, a strong customer focus, and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of finish. Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing surfaces thoroughly for painting and decorating, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and making good.
Applying paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to a consistently high standard.
Undertaking touch-up work and remedial painting as part of repairs and maintenance.
Working efficiently and cleanly within residents' homes, ensuring minimal disruption and leaving properties tidy.
Interacting respectfully and professionally with residents and colleagues.
Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies, especially when working in occupied properties.
Requirements:
An experienced painter & decorator, with a proven track record in domestic work.
Experience in social housing or similar residential environments is essential.
A valid CSCS card with relevant NVQ.
Possesses excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a flawless finish.
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging positively with residents.
Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated, with a strong work ethic.
Able to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence with own transport.
