The Associate HR Generalist will support and coordinate general HR activities for our AMER and EMEA regions and drive HR processes. This role offers a great opportunity to start and develop your career in a People function supporting team members worldwide.
The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record combined with some experience in an entry-level HR or People Team role. Knowledge of employment law is a plus. We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in the Technology sector, especially Open Source.
Location: This role is remote, based in the EMEA and Americas regions.
What your day will look like
* Provide HR support by answering team members’ questions and handling requests regarding employment, contracts, onboarding, benefits, employment verifications, and other inquiries, escalating as needed.
* Maintain our HRIS with high accuracy and timeliness for all employee changes and new hires.
* Lead global projects, such as engagement, training, or culture initiatives.
* Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and implement people strategies.
* Collaborate globally with colleagues, especially leaders and managers.
* Process new hires, including onboarding documentation, file creation, system setup, and introductory reviews.
* Support benefits enrollment and payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate data submission.
* Liaise with payroll to ensure smooth salary payments.
* Conduct regular audits of employment files and systems to ensure they are current, accurate, and GDPR compliant.
* Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance HR functions.
* Manage global background checks.
What we are looking for in you
* Strong academic background from high school and preferably university.
* Entry-level HR or People team experience is beneficial, ideally in the Technology industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a focus on accuracy.
* High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
* Flexible and adaptable to change.
* Proactive, with ideas and suggestions to contribute to the team’s success.
* Aspiring to grow in HR career.
* Willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
