Job Title: Commercial Manager
Location: Cramlington, Northumberland
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience
Reports To: CEO
Main Purpose of the Role:
The Commercial Manager is a key member of the Management Team, responsible for ensuring Reproflex3’s revenue-generating activities (sales, marketing, pricing, and customer operations) run efficiently, predictably, and at scale. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, data, process, and execution.
The role converts commercial strategy into repeatable, measurable results by reviewing and optimising systems and processes. This position is critical to ensuring revenue remains efficient, scalable, and data-driven, enabling confident, informed management decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
Revenue & Performance Management
* Develop Key accounts – building long-term relationships with printers and brand owners
* Drive up-selling opportunities (e.g. screening upgrades, faster turnaround times)
* Define and track KPIs (revenue, pipeline/prospects, conversion rates)
* Forecast revenue and identify risks and growth opportunities
* Provide leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations
Pricing, Deal & Contract Support
* Establish and fix pricing frameworks and any discount governance
* Review complex or non-standard deals for margin, risk and compliance
* Standardise contracts and approval workflows
* Monitor contribution margin per job and overall customer profitability
* Align pricing with capacity
* Protect margin by addressing common leakage in flexographic plate manufacturing, including:
* Under-quoting
* Excess artwork revisions
* Poor file quality
* Plate waste
* Rush jobs disrupting efficiency
* Credit and payment risks
Cross-Function Alignment
* Translate executive strategy into operational plans
Control Workflow Efficiency
Act as the bridge between front office and production by ensuring:
* Customer services gather the correct specifications
* Aligning Production schedules with delivery commitments
* Maintaining daily visibility of workflow performance
* Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the revenue-generating process
* Design scalable processes for growth (fast-growing)
* Lead change management when tools or strategies evolve
This requires:
* Strong operational understanding
* Consistent KPI tracking
* Effective Team coordination
* Hands-on oversight of daily workflow performance
Customer Relationship Management
* Manage customer escalations and service issues
* Assist Sales in pricing and commercial negotiations
* Manage complaints and service recovery
* Protect and develop strategic customer accounts
* Maintain service levels
Relationships are everything — printers often choose suppliers based on reliability, responsiveness and trust.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Understanding
* Experience within printing, prepress or flexographic printing environments is advantageous, though not essential
* Proven experience of working within a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong understanding of end-to-end workflow management, from order intake through to production and delivery
* Knowledge of production lead times, scheduling, bottlenecks and operational dependencies
* Practical application of Lean methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks to drive efficiency and reduce waste
* Experience of aligning commercial priorities with operational capability to ensure service levels and profitability are optimised
Commercial Skills
* Strong analytical capability with demonstrable financial acumen
* Experience with margin analysis and profitability optimisation
* Development and execution of pricing strategy
* Skilled in contract negotiation, balancing risk, margin and long-term partnership value
* Ownership of revenue forecasting and demand planning
* KPI design and performance management
* Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot experience would be advantageous)
* Ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Leadership Skills
* Ability to manage multi-discipline teams, including Customer Service, Studio/Prepress, Plate Production and Delivery
* Strong change management capability
* Driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between teams

Location & Travel Requirements:
The Commercial Manager will be based out of our Cramlington, Northumberland site. No regular travel requirements are anticipated, though, from time to time, there may be a requirement to visit customers; reasonable notice will be given.
