What You’ll Be Doing

As the new Hire Manager at the Witney branch, you’ll be at the forefront of driving success and hitting key targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven, customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you’re ready to take charge and make an impact, this role is for you.

* Develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance through a proactive sales approach.
* Support the integration of Hire into the wider Travis Perkins branch, enhancing knowledge of services available to Branch colleagues; provide training and coaching in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
* Based in the Witney branch, join a team of 15, including a dedicated Hire Team of two; the team has access to an HGV.
* Maintain a high-energy, fast-paced environment with a loyal customer base and necessary resources to succeed.

Working hours

Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with 2 Saturdays every 4 weeks (8:00 am to 12:00 pm).


What you’ll be responsible for

* Crushing Sales Goals: Develop a winning sales action plan and drive results beyond targets.
* Coaching & Training: Work with the Branch Manager to level up the team on tool hire; share knowledge and align the team.
* Operations: Ensure tools and equipment are safe, in good working order, and ready for use.
* Stock Control: Balance stock levels to meet demand and avoid overstock or shortages.
* Team Leadership: Oversee the Hire team; train, supervise, and motivate for high performance.
* Customer Service: Be the go-to for customer queries; upsell and provide smart solutions.
* Communication: Maintain daily toolbox talks and clear, effective communication within the team and branch.


Who You Are

* Experience: Experience in tool hire, plant hire, or a leadership role is ideal; sales or customer service experience is also valued.
* Leadership: Ability to lead a team, inspire, and drive momentum.
* Safety Focus: Commitment to safety for equipment and the work environment.
* Proactive: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and continually seeks improvement.
