Offer description

A rare and exciting opportunity to join the Brother sewing and craft UK business. A mobile role including company vehicle, laptop and phone. To generate sales of Brother sewing, embroidery, ScanNCut, print and crafting products. And to support the dealer network with events, training & technical support.


Main Tasks

* Support key dealer accounts in South UK to increase and support sales of Brother sewing & craft product and ensure that budgeted KPI’s are achieved.
* Support in-house events, training and technical support.
* Support end consumers at events including national corporate events.
* To identify and develop new dealer accounts where applicable.
* Provide dealers, consumers and colleagues with a high level of understanding on all Brother sewing, embroidery, ScanNCut, print and crafting products.
* Organise key events such as training & in house events.
* Contact with a team of circa 10 freelancers – also responsible for training, events etc. To include training and assistance where needed, and booking for events.
* Expectation of at least 3 days per week in dealer accounts (as and when required).
* Responsibility (alongside the Product and Technical Service Training Officer) for sample creation and overall creative direction.
* Motivating and encouraging dealer staff to sell Brother products in preference to other brands.
* Evaluate and feedback on competitor activity within the market.
* Attend and cooperate in meetings, product launches, exhibitions, road shows, dealer events.
* Possible support for retail accounts.


About you

* Detailed knowledge of the sewing and craft industry in general. Ideally with a strong knowledge of (or ability to learn quickly) the Brother range. And the ability to sew and craft to a high level of skill.
* Flexibility to travel within the UK, with infrequent travel to wider EU countries.
* Twice monthly visits to the Brother offices in Greater Manchester.
* Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously.
* General all round knowledge of Office 365, including Teams, Excel and Word.
* Good IT/ digital technology knowledge. To include apps and PC based software.
* Technical sales minded – to be able to teach, and close a sale when necessary.
* Good team player with excellent verbal and written skills
* A cool and calm approach to resolving customer complaints and issues
* Ability to multitask and prioritise importance of tasks.
