Roof Truss Designer (MiTek)
We are currently supporting a well-established timber engineering business in the Midlands who are looking to strengthen their design team with an experienced Roof Truss Designer .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong MiTek design experience who enjoys working on residential housing projects and collaborating closely with house builders and construction teams.
The Role As a Roof Truss Designer, you will be responsible for designing and estimating roof truss and engineered timber systems from architectural drawings and client specifications.
You will work closely with customers, production teams and site personnel to ensure designs are efficient, accurate and suitable for manufacture.
Responsibilities will include:
Designing roof truss systems using MiTek software
Producing detailed technical drawings and manufacturing data
Interpreting architectural drawings and structural information
Liaising with customers, house builders and internal teams
Providing technical support where required
Ensuring designs meet industry regulations and NHBC requirements
Supporting production teams with manufacturing information
Experience Required The ideal candidate will have experience within timber engineering or roof truss design .
Essential:
Strong experience using MiTek design software
Experience designing roof truss systems
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
Good communication and organisational skills
Experience working within a timber engineering or construction environment
Desirable:
Experience designing engineered floor systems
Experience working with national house builders
Salary & Benefits Salary: £40,000- £50,000 depending on experience
