Solutions Design Engineer
DSV is seeking a Solutions Design Engineer at our Brackmills site due to growth. This role involves providing customer-focused administration, working directly with client’s customer service teams to meet delivery targets.
Responsibilities include supporting new business pursuits, designing layouts, calculating headcount and space requirements, and applying relevant technologies. The engineer will play a key role in increasing revenue and EBITA by optimizing solutions for new and existing business, working on proposals and operational requests with a data-driven approach.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* New Business Development: Understand customer requests, process data for space and headcount requirements, and engage with industry events and suppliers.
* Client Retention / Growth: Maintain relationships, review data, and optimize operational processes.
* New Business Implementation: Ensure solution concepts are implemented, including SOP alignment, productivity, headcount, space, and layout.
* Department Development: Identify areas where SD can add value and standardize practices across sites.
* Research: Explore new industry innovations.
General Responsibilities
* Participate in sales and customer initiatives.
* Promote DSV Solutions professionally.
