The Role
We are looking for a well-connected, proactive Student Societies Coordinator to bridge the gap between our brand and the vibrant student community in Nottingham. Your mission is simple but ambitious: get the city's most influential student societies through our doors.
You won't just be sending emails; you'll be on the ground, attending mixers, and building genuine relationships with committee members to ensure our events are their first choice for socials, fundraisers, and balls.
Key Responsibilities
* Outreach & Acquisition: Identify and contact key student societies across the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.
* Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Society Presidents and Social Secs, understanding their needs and "selling" our event packages.
* Booking Pipeline: Manage the end-to-end booking process, from initial inquiry and site tours to contract signing and deposit collection.
* Event Coordination: Work closely with our suppliers and teams to ensure the society's specific requirements (themes, tech, catering) are met on the night.
* Market Intelligence: Stay updated on the "Notts" student scene—knowing which nights are big at Ocean or Crisis and finding the gaps where our events fit best.
Who You Are
* The Ultimate Networker: You're comfortable walking into a room of strangers and leaving with five new leads.
* Nottingham Savvy: You know the difference between Lenton and Hockley, and you understand the unique vibes of both UoN and NTU.
* Organized Hustler: You can juggle 20 different society conversations at once without dropping the ball on the details.
* Sales-Minded: You aren't afraid to push for a booking or negotiate a deal that benefits both the company and the students.
Requirements
* Based in (or very willing to travel around) Nottingham.
* Previous experience in a student committee role (President, Social Sec, or Treasurer) is a massive plus.
* Excellent communication skills (DM, email, and face-to-face).
* Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings & late nights for networking.
Perks & Benefits
* Competitive salary/hourly rate + performance-based commission.
* Flexible working hours.
* Extended Holidays outside of term time.
* Complimentary access to events and "industry" perks.
* A chance to build a massive professional network in the events and marketing space.
