Position: Male Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Start Date: Friday 10th October
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (1 term)
Salary: £140 - £210 per day (subject to experience and responsibilities)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Male PE Teacher to join a vibrant PE department. The role is currently temporary and will run from October until at least early 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and motivate students to develop a lifelong love for physical activity, sports, and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring that they are engaging, informative, and in line with the National Curriculum.
* Lead by example in promoting the importance of physical education and an active lifestyle.
* Prepare and organize sporting events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
* Encourage and support students to participate in a wide range of physical activities, fostering teamwork, leadership, and personal development.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
* Contribute to the development of the school's PE program and help maintain high standards in the department.
* Actively contribute to the wider school community, collaborating with other staff members to provide a well-rounded education.
Key Requirements
* Qualified PE Teacher (QTS required or equivalent teaching qualification).
* Strong passion for physical education, sport, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
* Experience in teaching PE at secondary school level is highly desirable.
* Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* A proactive and dynamic approach to teaching with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience coaching in one or more sports.
* A strong interest in extra-curricular activities and sports clubs.
* Knowledge of strategies to improve student wellbeing through physical activity
