Philosophy Education is seeking passionate, resilient, and emotionally intelligent graduate support staff to work as Intervention Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role
As an Intervention LSA, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, both academic and emotional. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams, you will:
* Deliver targeted one-to-one and small group interventions focusing on literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation.
* Support pupils in developing coping strategies, improving confidence, and managing challenging behaviours.
* Build trusting relationships that help students re-engage with education and achieve personal milestones.
* Implement individual education and behaviour support plans, tracking progress and adapting strategies where necessary.
* Create a safe, calm and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and understood.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a consistent approach to student development.
