Cover Supervisor
Location: Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham
Pay Scale: £75 - £100 per day
Start: September 2024
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
GSL Education is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join as a Cover Supervisor in our client schools in Stockton-on-Tees.
Job summary:
As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for the smooth running of the school's operations by overseeing courses while teaching staff is temporarily absent. You will oversee classroom behavior, keep things in a healthy learning atmosphere, and assist students with their assignments.
As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities are to:
* Manage and supervise classrooms when the regular teacher is not present.
* Convey pre-arranged example plans and assets given by instructing staff.
* Create a positive learning environment and ensure that students adhere to their assignments.
* Offer students assistance and support as needed.
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school authority.
* Help with different obligations as required, including test invigilation and administrative tasks.
As a Cover Supervisor, essential requirements include:
* Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
* Strong classroom management abilities.
* The ability to keep lessons fun and adapted to all children's learning needs
* A proactive and adaptable way to deal with work.
* An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the updated service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
