Join United Living Group as a SHEQ Manager to support the ULPS business, providing specialist coaching, advice, and guidance to drive legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement.
The purpose of this role is to create, achieve, and sustain world-class Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality performance, resulting in net zero and improved sustainability.
Responsibilities
* Manage SHEQ Advisors to support projects in delivering the company's SHEQ strategy.
* Provide SHEQ input into the tender and contract award process.
* Act as a single point of contact for advice and expertise on SHEQ matters to project teams.
* Manage accident/incident investigations to establish root causes and communicate learning points.
* Challenge existing working methods to incorporate Health, Safety, and Environmental good practice.
* Contribute to a safe & secure culture through behavior-based coaching.
* Liaise with the wider construction industry to share lessons and implement best practices.
* Co-ordinate, develop, and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
* Provide expert advice on the CDM regulation.
* Assist project team representatives with reviewing contractor competence and identifying training needs.
* Provide monthly H&S data and safety stats to the Head of SHEQ.
* Develop internal relationships to resolve issues and identify opportunities for collaboration.
* Collaborate with other SHEQ Managers to share information and best practices.
* Keep abreast of the latest technology to aid processes within ULPS.
* Engage proactively with the supply chain regarding findings and sharing best practices.
* Introduce local initiatives and support wider ULPS/Group plans.
* Conduct trend analysis to mitigate foreseeable risks.
* Attend bid-handover and pre-start/mobilization site meetings to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications
* Experience in Construction, ideally with a background in ULPS nature of works.
* Experience in a Managerial role.
* NVQ/Diploma.
* Environmental qualification, such as IEMA.
* ISO knowledge is desirable.
