Telford and Wrekin Leisure services are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for swimming to join our dynamic workforce.
If you are looking for a fun and fulfilling role our Swimming Teacher opportunities are ideal for you. Level 1 and 2 Swim England Qualified teachers are preferable.
STA qualified teachers will be welcomed with an opportunity to convert their qualification to Swim England.
If you do not have a swim teaching qualification but are still interested in becoming a Swimming teacher then we can offer funding, mentoring and training to help you achieve the Swim England level 1 and 2 qualifications. This will enable you to begin your swim teaching journey with Telford and Wrekin Council leisure services.
We have various contracted teaching hours available at Oakengates Leisure centre, as well as our three other swimming pools, 7 days a week but can be flexible on hours depending on candidate availability, typically 4-6.30pm Monday-Friday and weekend mornings are our swimming lesson hours.
We believe great services start with great people — and that means building a workforce that reflects our community. At Telford & Wrekin Council, everyone belongs, and every voice matters.
