Pay rates:
£15.37 plus shift allowances, depending on shift pattern. Overtime available at excellent rates.
Shift patterns may include days, mornings, afternoons, and nights, depending on the area.
Key Responsibilities:
The stores facilitator will lead and coordinate logistics solutions for the building, manage stock control, support daily stock activities, and help achieve LEAN objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Environment. They will also coordinate all deliveries and collections within the Workshop.
Typical roles include:
* Providing first-class customer service to internal and external Engineering Labs customers
* Handling and documenting deliveries
* Maintaining stock levels
* Keeping storage areas clean and tidy
* Ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment legislation
* Assisting in waste reduction and management
* Making deliveries across UK sites
* Ordering parts via internal systems
* Material handling as required
Skills, experience, and qualifications:
* Previous logistics/stock control experience
* Good business acumen
* Strong presentation skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently using standard processes
* Ability to build good working relationships
* Flexibility and supportive attitude
* Willingness to work shifts
* Lean principles knowledge, e.g., Kanban (preferred)
* Driving licence
* Forklift truck licence
