Arxada is looking for a Quality Control Analyst in the Manufacturing and Quality area. This position is based in Huddersfield, UK.
Essential Job Functions:
* Working day/weekend shifts within the small Quality Control (QC) team to carry out essential analytical testing in support of the Huddersfield manufacturing site.
* Working within site safety and analytical procedures and holding a "gatekeeping role" to ensure manufactured goods meet quality specifications and thus are suitable for our customers' requirements.
* Ensure laboratory equipment, housekeeping standards and laboratory documentation are maintained in line with the site 9001 accreditation.
* To provide technical support and advice to carry out root cause analysis activities in support of site key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proficient in the operation, interpretation, calibration and maintenance of on-site analytical equipment (HPLC/MS, XRF, UV) used in the evaluation of manufactured products and environmental samples.
* Experienced in working with established laboratory procedures ensuring all analyses are carried proficiently and with accuracy in order to eliminate errors.
* Possess an understanding of Business Management Systems (9001,14001) and their implementation in a laboratory and manufacturing environment. Ensure all work is appropriately documented and stored according to the laboratory standards and processes in place.
* Demonstrates first class planning and time management skills having an ability to work using own initiative in order to meet deadlines.
* Possessing excellent IT skills especially Excel, Word, Outlook and ideally an awareness of SAP systems.
* Develop an understanding of the manufacturing processes thus acquiring an ability to provide root cause analysis/technical support and advice to the manufacturing teams.
The expected salary range for this role is 75.500$ $, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
