What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Town Centre PSPO Enforcement Officer REF: JD 000A 455F / 1 Pay rate: £15.92 per hour PAYE Role length: 7-month assignment (potential extension) Job type: Office based with outdoor duties Location: Bolton Postcode: BL3 5DT Hours: 37 per week Contract type: Temporary The role: Our client is looking for a front-line team tackling anti-social behaviour and environmental offences in the town centre. You’ll provide a visible presence, engage with the public, and enforce Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) through issuing notices, gathering evidence, and supporting prosecution where needed. Key Responsibilities: Patrol designated areas to detect and deter anti-social behaviour Enforce PSPO conditions (e.g. alcohol, begging, street trading, cycling/skateboarding restrictions) Issue fixed penalty notices and prepare legal cases Engage with the public to encourage positive behaviour and environmental responsibility What the client is looking for: Understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation Strong communication skills and experience working with the public Ability to handle conflict and act with authority Full clean driving licence Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers, including some evenings/weekends DBS check required What the client offers: £15.92 per hour PAYE Full training and support Initial 7-month contract with possible extension How to Apply: Send your CV quoting ref: 000A 455F / 1.
