Assembly OperatorLocation: Ryde, Isle of WightSalary: £13.45 per hourJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role Pertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on behalf of our client based in Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, working as part of a busy production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling a range of products in line with technical documentation, ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and production targets.Key Responsibilities
o Check kits against Bills of Materials and report any discrepancies
o Ensure all documentation is correct and up to date for each job
o Assemble components in accordance with drawings, work instructions and industry standards
o Complete work within agreed timeframes and raise any delays or issues promptly
o Work towards and maintain relevant inspection or quality standards
o Follow company procedures, including quality and health & safety requirements
o Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting process issues
o Carry out additional production duties as required and trained
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
o Good manual dexterity
o Strong attention to detail
o Ability to follow instructions accurately
Desirable:
o Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly
o Knowledge of PCB manufacturing or sub-assembly techniques
o Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
