Our client is a specialist in custom manufacturing across many industry sectors. As a NPI Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the New Product Introduction product life cycle, from initial component design to final customer approval, applying a continuous improvement approach to processes and ensuring that products meet the clients exact design specifications.
Responsibilities
* Manage the New Product Introduction lifecycle, from initial component design to final customer approval.
* Collaborate with toolmakers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
* Oversee tooling orders, validate tool designs, and manage the entire development process.
* Plan and oversee tool trials, analysing data to ensure process capability and high:quality output.
* Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting tooling and equipment issues.
* Continuously refine and optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost:effectiveness.
* Use CAD/SolidWorks software to review and amend engineering drawings.
Requirements
* Previous experience working within a Project Engineer or equivalent position.
* Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD software, and GD and T principles.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Exceptional communication and relationship:building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on problem:solving and process improvement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in data analysis.
