CONSULT CPK LTD is seeking a motivated and well-organised Health & Safety Technician to support our Health & Safety Consultants in promoting safe working environments, through the JobStart Scheme. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop a career in health and safety, with full training provided. The Technician will assist in identifying risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across various workplaces.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the assessment of workplace conditions, equipment, and operational practices.
* Assisting in verifying the safe and correct use of equipment.
* Helping compile technical reports based on observations and sample data.
* Contributing insights to improve safety policies and procedures.
* Ensuring office workstations are ergonomically safe and comfortable.
* Promoting a positive safety culture among clients and internal teams.
* Assisting in delivering safety training to employees and management.
* Identifying potential hazards and risks proactively.
* Supporting incident investigations and preparing detailed reports.
* Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and local safety regulations.
* Participating in safety audits to monitor and improve performance.
Skills and Qualifications
* Strong desire to progress into a professional Health & Safety role.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good grammar.
* Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland with consultants.
* Full driving licence required for future travel to client sites.
* No prior qualifications or experience in Health & Safety are required - full training will be provided.
* Previous experience in a safety related role is a plus but not essential.
